a sanctuary in the city
warm welcome useful amenities security measures
gordon at reception welcomed us SO tenderly , after hard international travel, that began my stay wonderfully. our beautiful king room had beautiful decor and included amenities that were useful. the location was perfect for me as a solo traveller, and i felt very secure with the hotel's security measures.
The hotel gym, while adequate, lacked variety. I hoped to find punch bags for boxing but only found machines.

The hotel features an indoor pool and jacuzzi with convenient hours. It also houses a gym, although it could benefit from some additional equipment options, beyond just machines. the cherry blossoms are everywhere.

Our beautiful king room offered ample space and included japanese-inspired decor. The bathroom had a rainfall shower head and quality toiletries were provided, while the room was cleaned on a daily basis to a superb standard. the bed was comfortable.

mixed feelings about the stay
the reception staff seemed helpful and nice especially greg.
the hotel prides itself on catering for client needs but i had a pre-check-in and was told i would be informed when my room was ready it was not until 3:30pm that i had to go back to the desk to check again.

swimming pool friendly staff non-refundable fee poor signposting
The hotel has a swimming pool, gym, and sauna. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are comfortable at this hotel. I found the hotel to be very nice.
I was charged a non-refundable fee even though I did not use the amenities. I asked why this could not be included in the daily rates. The answer was not satisfactory. One entrance to the hotel is locked at 6 pm. I had to walk up the stairs. I noticed the lifts were poorly signposted.
